John Hastings appeared in town during Harmony's Christmas Eve mass, the latest part of Ivy's plan to break up Sam and Grace. He is the twenty-something son of David Hastings, and thanks to Ivy's plan, believes that his mother is Grace Bennett, and that her daughters, Kay and Jessica, are his half-sisters. Apparently John was born a few months before Grace went to Boston over twenty years ago and met and married Sam. Just recently they both have agreed to take a DNA test.
