Alistair Crane
Passions Character Bio

Alistair Crane is the patriarch of the Crane family, the wealthiest family in all of Harmony, and one of the wealthiest in the world. He married Katherine, she gave birth to their first child, Julian -- Alistair's only son. Years later, she became pregnant with a daughter, Sheridan. She never recovered from the birth, and died when Sheridan was an adolescent.

Alistair rules the family with an iron fist. When he wanted his son to marry Ivy Winthrop, he used his money to buy her -- the Winthrop family was broke, and the Crane family bought up the Winthrop businesses. His family hasn't seen him in years -- his only contact with the family is through the speaker phone. But still, his family is terrifed of him, and does whatever they can to keep him happy.

Alistair will stop at nothing to make sure that his daughter and grandson don't get involved with the Lopez-Fitzgeralds. He has a tape in his possession that proves that Sheridan killed Martin Fitzgerald, which he plans on playing at whichever moment can cause Sheridan the most pain. He is willing to sacrifice his own daughter to further his plans.

Alistair was as shocked as everyone else to learn that Ethan wasn't really his grandson, but was really Sam Bennett's son. He couldn't care less any longer what Ethan does with his life. He disinherited his son, Julian, so he doesn't need to worry about Ivy asking for alimony...his only worry will be how much control she has over her other son, the new Crane heir. Luckily, he has a curvaceous young assistant who is more than willing to help him get over his pain.

Alistair proved that he couldn't care less about his children when he arranged for June and Basil to kill Sheridan when she wouldn't break up with Luis, and further proved his unhappiness with his 'family' when he ordered Julian to get rid of Rebecca, Ivy, and Theresa...permanently!
